With a steadfast commitment to justice and community service, Mark A. Jones has been an integral part of Vernon Law since 1988. Beyond his legal knowledge, Mr. Jones’s distinguished career is marked by a legacy of leadership and civic engagement.
A dedicated public servant, Mr. Jones served as a Burlington City Councilman from 1995 to 2007, advocating for the interests of his community with integrity and passion. His contributions extend beyond the political arena, as he has held esteemed positions such as Past President of the Alamance Business Club, Past Chairman of the Burlington Recreation and Parks’ Commission, and Past President and Director of the Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell.
Mr. Jones’s commitment to service extends to his military career, having served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1975. His academic Journey includes earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Indiana University in 1978, a Master of Divinity degree from Duke University in 1982, and his law degree from Valparaiso University in 1987.
