Lawson maintains a general practice with a focus on commercial real estate development and business transactions.  For clients with real estate development projects, Mr. Brown has worked with municipalities, the North Carolina Department of Transportation, and other agencies on zoning, utility, transportation, and governmental permits and approvals on commercial, industrial and residential projects. These representations have included appearances before the Commissioners in various counties and municipalities.

Named in 2008 by Triad Business Leader as one of the Triad’s Top Lawyers for business law and civil litigation, Mr. Brown continues to serve his clients’ needs in a variety of ways.  His litigation experience includes representation in all three federal district courts in North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia as well as state court appearances in multiple counties in North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina.

Mr. Brown is a graduate of East Carolina University with honors in Political Science and the Wake Forest University School of Law, where he served on the Board of Editors of the Law Review.  He lives in Burlington with his wife, Lou Ann.
