Patricia A. McAllister
Patricia (Trish) McAllister is an experienced trial attorney who focuses in family law and civil litigation in Alamance and Guilford Counties.
Trish earned her undergraduate degree from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 1986 and then served as an active duty Coast Guard officer for ten years. Following her Coast Guard service she was certified and employed as a municipal code enforcement officer.
Trish graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law in 2004, where she had served as Executive Editor of the Maine Law Review. She then went on to clerk for the Honorable Leigh I. Saufley, Chief Justice of the Maine Supreme Court, before entering private practice.
Trish moved to Burlington with her husband Chuck in 2014; she applied for and was granted comity admission to the North Carolina State Bar. She is a member of the NCBA family law and litigation sections and serves on the NCBA Bench Bar Liaison Committee. She also serves on the Alamance County Bar Association’s pro bono and grievance committees. In addition to litigation, Trish is an experienced mediator and also actively engages in Collaborative Law in certain domestic cases.
